Course Details
Suggested course curriculum for a beginner
Session 1: Introduction to using Bubble to build your first app
You'll create your first Bubble app and set it up. You'll get familiar with the Bubble editor and learn about app architecture (i.e. when to use a single page app) and some initial best practices, such as the role of styles.
Session 2: The responsive editor: build a landing page
By the end of this session we'll build a responsive landing page.
Session 3: Databases & workflows
We'll discuss the fundamentals of good database design, the role of option sets, and set up your first data types. We'll also set up a workflow to log users in and out.
Session 4: Repeating groups, custom states & conditionals
You'll create your first repeating group that's linked to your database. We'll also cover when and how to use custom states and conditionals (page + workflows)
Session 5: The API connector: configure stripe
Most apps need a way to collect payments. We'll cover the basics of the API connector and configure some API calls to Stripe.
Session 6: Backend workflows & webhooks
Continuing on from last week, we'll create some webhooks that listen for updates from Stripe and keep our database up to date and in sync.
Session 7: Data security & best practices
The privacy settings in Bubble are often overlooked and misunderstood - we'll ensure your first app is secure.
We'll also cover some of the common pitfalls that impact app performance, and how you can optimize your Bubble app.

Session 8: Wrap Up & Q&A
This will be your opportunity to revisit and dive deeper into any of the prior week's learnings, in addition to ask questions that'll set you on the right path forward with your MVP.
